How it works

See every day ahead
Calendough lays it all on a calendar and shows your balance at the end of every day, so a squeeze is visible weeks away.
Spend with confidence
Check a purchase before you make it, move a bill to a better day, and watch your safe-to-spend number.
Pay off debt, reach your goals
Pick a debt-free date and see what it would take, where the money could come from, and what each choice saves you.
Beyond the calendar
Your whole financial picture, on one page
Net worth today and a year from now, what you owe, and where every month's income goes. Calendough builds it from the accounts and bills you already put on your calendar.
- A year-ahead projection of your net worth
- Income split into bills, debt, savings and what's left
- A debt-free date, with what it would take to reach it
- Savings goals and debts on the same 90-day chart as your cash
Debt-free date
Pick the date you want to be debt-free
Choose a month. Calendough works out the extra you'd need each month, then shows where it could come from, so a goal becomes a plan.
- See exactly what it takes: the extra per month, and how far you are from it
- Find the money: spare cash, subscriptions to cancel, spending to trim
- Checked against your cash, so the plan never pushes you under your cushion
- You review every change first. Calendough plans it on your calendar; you make the payments yourself
Everything you need to plan your money
One plan, every feature. No tiers, no add-ons.
See every day
The calendar is the heart of it. Everything else is built on it.
A balance on every day
Your projected balance for each day, with a 90-day chart and a month summary of what comes in and goes out.
Month, week or day
Switch between the whole month, a week with every bill laid out, or one day. Your choice is remembered.
A day summary that replaces the calendar
Opening and closing balance, everything coming in and going out, and what's next. Use the arrow keys to move day by day.
Hover to add
Hover any day and press + for income or − for an expense. Add it in seconds, right where it happens.
Safe to spend
The most you can spend today without dipping under your cushion. Amber and red days warn you before it's a problem.
What-if checks
Type an amount and see right away whether you can afford it, and the lowest your balance would drop.
Drag to move a bill
Payday moved? Drag the bill to another day. Made a mistake? One click on Undo.
Flexible repeats
Weekly, every two weeks, twice a month, monthly, yearly or one time. Skip or change a single occurrence without touching the rest.
Weekend rule
Set any repeating bill or payment to move to the Friday before or the Monday after when it falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Your forecast, balances and reminders all follow it.
Pay periods
From each payday to the next: what comes in from all your income, what goes out, and whether your cash covers it, with every bill, debt payment and saving in between.
Multiple accounts
Checking, savings, cash and credit cards, with transfers between them. View everything together or one account at a time.
Paid and received
Tick off bills as you pay them. Anything past due and unticked is flagged so nothing slips.
See the whole picture
Beyond the calendar: where you stand, and where your money goes.
Your financial picture
Net worth today and a year ahead, what you owe, and what's left each month, all on one page.
Where your income goes
Each month's income split into bills, debt payments, savings and what's left, with your biggest everyday costs.
How you're doing
Savings rate, debt payments, housing and your cash cushion, compared with common rules of thumb.
Spending by category
A pie of this month's scheduled spending, or the next 7 days, with the amount and share for every category.
Category budgets
Set a monthly limit per category and watch a progress bar turn amber, then red, as you approach it.
Debts and goals on the 90-day chart
See your debts shrink and your savings grow day by day, right under your cash balance.
Pay off debt, build savings
Plans that live on your calendar, so they stay true to your real bills.
A debt-free date
Pick a month. Calendough works out the extra you'd need, and lists where it could come from: spare cash, subscriptions to cancel, spending to trim.
Payoff methods compared
Avalanche, snowball, cash-flow or spread evenly, side by side, with the interest each one saves.
Payoff bubbles on the calendar
Any day you pay more than the minimum shows what the extra buys. Balances update on their own as payments come due.
Set-asides for big bills
Spread a yearly or one-off bill (insurance, registration, holiday gifts) across your paydays, so it never lands on your balance all at once.
Savings goals, in order
Track each goal to a date, reorder them by priority, and see how moving spare cash gets you there sooner.
Suggestions that do the maths
Put spare cash on a debt or a goal, or trade a little saving for faster payoff, with the interest saved and the days added.
If your income drops
See where to cut first: subscriptions and flexible spending before goals, and never your rent or minimum payments.
Stay in control
Small leaks and surprises, caught early.
Car payment planning
When a car loan or lease is about to end, see what payment your budget could carry for the next car, and whether a used one makes more sense, before you walk into a dealership.
Dealer offers, anonymously
Ready to shop? Ask dealers for offers through AutoAnon with one form, with no name, email or phone. Offers show up on your calendar, checked against your own budget. If your car is financed, you can offer it as a trade-in.
Subscriptions, tracked
Everything that bills you regularly, with its yearly cost, a warning before a free trial's first charge, and a guide to cancelling.
Email reminders
A short email when a bill is coming up, your balance is about to dip, or a free trial is about to charge. Only when something needs you, and one click to stop.
Calendar feed
Subscribe to your paydays and bills in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar with a private link, or download them as a file.

Questions
What's the difference between annual and monthly billing?
Same product, same features. Annual is $5.00 a month, billed once a year at $60.00. Monthly is $12.95 a month. Annual works out to about 61% less.
What if a bill falls on a weekend?
Choose what happens for each repeating bill. Leave it on the weekend, move it to the Friday before, or move it to the Monday after. Your calendar, daily balances, calendar feed and email reminders all use the day it actually lands, and you can still drag any single payment to a different day.
What is AutoAnon, and what does it see?
AutoAnon (autoanon.app, in the US and Canada) is an anonymous car-buying service from the same team: dealers compete with offers and never learn who you are unless you accept one. When your car payment is ending, Calendough can start a request for you. It sends what you would type there anyway: the kind of car, your ZIP or postal code and, if you choose, your current car as a trade-in. It sends nothing about your finances, never your income, balances or bills. The one optional exception is a monthly payment ceiling you can tick a box to share so offers fit better. Offers come back to your calendar and are compared with your budget there, where dealers never see it.
Does it connect to my bank?
Not yet. Bank sync is coming soon. Today you enter your balances, bills and income yourself, and Calendough does the forecasting. Once bank sync launches it will be included in your plan.
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. The live demo has sample data and every feature switched on, and it needs no account. Anything you change in it stays in your own browser.
Will it pay my debts or cancel my subscriptions for me?
No. Calendough never moves money, makes payments or transfers, or cancels anything on your behalf. You make each payment and transfer yourself with your bank. It shows what to do, takes you to the right page to cancel, and updates your calendar once you've done it. Every change it suggests is listed for you to review before it's applied.
How does the debt-free date work?
You pick a month. Calendough works out how much extra you'd need to pay each month to get there, then suggests where it could come from: money left over after your bills, subscriptions you could cancel, and everyday spending you could trim. It also checks that your balance would stay above your cushion.
Is this financial advice?
No. The picture page compares your numbers with common rules of thumb, and the planners run the arithmetic on what you've entered. Your situation is your own, so treat them as a way to see your options, not a recommendation.
Is my financial information safe?
Your data is stored against your account and is only readable by you. You can delete your account, and all of the data in it, at any time from the settings.
How is this different from a spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet needs you to build and maintain the formulas. Calendough handles the repeating schedules, the day-by-day balances, the warnings and the planning, and works the same on your phone.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The site works on any phone, tablet or computer, and your calendar is the same everywhere you sign in.
